Getting around

Most rides are local. A national page cannot sign you up for your city's paratransit. These listings are the wider doors: a national center for aging and disability transportation, and help at the airport.

Rider rules are local. The paratransit guide spells out Los Angeles rules and points to other California agencies. Beach wheelchairs and trip-planning groups are in accessible travel. In California, the DMV page for disabled person parking placards and plates is in getting around in California. Buying a vehicle, and the equipment that goes in it, is a different question from booking a ride. That guide is Getting a vehicle.

NADTC

NADTC says it is funded through a cooperative agreement of Easterseals, USAging, and the Federal Transit Administration. Its site gathers resources on accessible transportation, including ADA paratransit, for older adults and people with disabilities. Local rides are still run locally.
