Vocational rehabilitation self-employment

Texas Workforce Commission

Self-employment support is part of vocational rehabilitation. Ask your counselor. The page says the counselor can explain the application, recommend small-business resources, and connect you with Certified Business Technical Assistance Consultants who help you write a business plan. After a plan, the counselor works with you on what is needed. This can help a new business or someone who already owns one. The page does not promise a grant or a set startup payment.

Next step

Read the self-employment page, then ask a vocational rehabilitation counselor. The VR phone is 512-936-6400.
