Texas waiver interest lists

You can ask to be added now. The Texas directory lists each program we opened.

This is not medical, legal, or financial advice. Agencies decide. We opened the public pages named here on October 14, 2026.

Talk to a real person

Texas Health and Human Services. The interest-list line can add a name for the waiver programs that use it. A call does not mean a slot is open.

Six programs

Texas Health and Human Services says demand is larger than the slots, so names go on an interest list. People are added first-come, first-served. The programs named on that page are CLASS, DBMD, HCS, TxHmL, MDCP, and STAR+PLUS HCBS. When a name reaches the top, a state office or a Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority contacts the person.

For HCS and TxHmL, contact your LIDDA. For the other waiver programs, call 1-877-438-5658. The page also points to Your Texas Benefits to apply for services.

The same page posts older slot allocations and monthly workbooks. We are not turning those tables into a wait-time promise. A workbook was not used as advice on this page.

While you wait

You can get Medicaid or other community services while your name is on a list, if you are eligible. The page says those other services do not change your place on the list. Keep your phone number and address current so a call or letter can reach you. This page does not say that one missed call removes you.

Texas Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation can help with work while you wait. That is a different program from the waiver list. The phone on the vocational rehabilitation page is 512-936-6400.
